What is National Tariff?

The tariff to which the end users are subjected who are below the Free Consumer Limit published by the EMRA in certain periods or who do not exercise the right of Free Consumer and whose annual consumption drops below 50 million KWh for residential subscribers, 7 million KWh for agricultural consumers and 1 million KWh for other consumer groups is called as the National Tariff.

STEPPED TARIFF FOR RESIDENCES

With effectiveness as from 01.03.2022, electricity consumptions of the subscribers whose tariff type is residential single phase low voltage are billed on the basis of the stepped tariff which is calculated in consideration of the consumption quantities within the frame of the national tariff published by the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA).

You can access to the National Tariff published by the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA) here.

Two stepped billing is applicable within the scope of the recently effectuated tariff. The main criterion is the electricity consumption quantity in the billing period and the unit prices for low/high steps are designated by the EMRA. The consumptions up to a certain limit will be billed on the basis of the Low Consumption Step being the first step whereas the consumptions above this limit will be billed on the basis of the High Consumption Step being the second step.

The daily average consumption is calculated by dividing the total consumption in KWh as shown in the bills into the number of days of consumption. The calculated daily average consumption limit is 8 KWh. If your daily average consumption is or below 8 KWh, then the bill amount is calculated by multiplying it with the low step price. Your greater consumption than 8 KWh, on the other hand, is calculated and billed by way of multiplying it with the high step price.
